Yesterday Seattle hit an all-time high temperature of 103. It’s humid and hot and we’re all boiling in our way-too-pregnant skins. In an area with fewer than 13% of the homes having any kind of cooling system, we’re sweating and relying on help from our friends to keep us from dropping like flies.
“My kids want to beat the heat too but they disapprove of my particular methods. Magoo doesn’t want to stay at Costco forever. Laylee asked me to “try harder” to make the house feel cool.”

Oh my gosh, the heat was TERRIBLE! I did a post about it on my blog, and I was just in non-stop misery. Thank goodness it’s cooling off at last!!! I hate having no AC on days like those!

Wasn’t that awful! I, too, did a blog post on the darn heat wave. I am just incredibly grateful that it’s steeply sloping downward now. I thought I was going to melt away to nothing a few days ago. (Ha–no chance of that…I’m 8 1/2 months pregnant!)
Speaking of pregnancy, did you happen to have a Dr’s appointment yesterday? As I was leaving from my appointment, I saw a girl resembling your picture very closely sitting in the waiting room. Since you recommended that Dr. to me, (for which I am forever grateful!), I wondered if it could be you?

I grew up in Seattle and now live in Utah. We decided to go to Seattle to visit family and get “away” from the heat. Boy did we choose the wrong week to go. None of our relatives up there have air conditioning. Our hotel did but who wants to be there when you can be with family. Anyways . . . we still had a blast and I am only around 21 weeks pregnant so only swelled to mildly gigantic proportions because of the weather.:) I am glad it is starting to cool of for you up there.
