I like the new blog look – I like that you don’t change every 2 weeks!! (It did take me a few seconds to find the comments link though)

Looks good!

I like how the page is dog eared to mark my place. Bookmarks are for suckas.

Way to go. Every site needs to be redesigned every now and again. I just re-did mine while I was visiting the PNW in January. This one loads much faster than the old one, so A++.

We’re doing the same thing with my son. It’s a whole new world and I don’t have a clue. At least we can commiserate (sp?) together.

Wow, the new layout is awesome! I’m saving up my $$ for some DYM stuff…I love the messenger bag. Way to go DYM! 🙂

Toddler started preschool at our local primary school in January. I was more traumatized than he was. I am lucky though, and we are only a pre through 3rd grade school. I cannot imagine the sheer panic of sending him to school with 6th graders…he is only 3…and while I know they don’t mingle all that often, just the exposure would be enough to make me – as Toddler would say – crap my pants!!

Looking good! I have to click on the title of the post to get to the comment section–I don’t know if it’s that way on purpose, but it may cut down on comments from people like me who can’t see ’em without searching them out.

To comment on the Kinder thing…(my youngest is in K this year…) scary now, yes. Once she goes you’ll be doing a dance after the first few days because you’ll have a little extra time. Then when the youngest goes? You’ll throw a party for yourself for making it thru the toddler/potty-training years and have raised multiple offspring that can function for at least a few hours without you. It’s all relative, of course. My oldest is graduating in 2 short months and I’m dying at having to send her to college. *sigh*

My oldest is only three and I’m already nervous about it!
I like the new look….very sophisticated!

This is why I highly recommend numbing the emotional pain of firstborn’s Kindergarten registration & first day by following my puking/dilating plan:
Step one. Have awful morning sickness at Kindergarten registration, so that your only prayer is not that you’ll grab your firstborn and run screaming from the room…but that you won’t hurl on the feet of the school secretary thereby insuring that she assign your child to a mean teacher or stamp your file with “L” for “loser parent” or whatever it is that they do to get revenge on mothers who puke on them.
Step two. Then…when it comes time for your firstborn’s actual first day of Kindergarten, be in labor & delivery at about 4 centimeters dilated so you miss the whole thing and your stepmother gets the joy/pain of seeing your firstborn off.
Highly recommend this plan because it truly blunted the pain of the first day of Kindergarten. I know this is true because then when the first day of 1st grade rolled around (and I should have been old hat at it), I was not puking or in labor and I was immensely grateful it was a rare sunny day in Washington so my firstborn could not see my sobbing eyes behind my sunglasses when I dropped her off.
Also recommend having a little one to drive back home with — HUGE consolation that you still have a little guy at home. Not sure how that plan will work next year when I send my youngest off to Kindergarten…don’t have a plan for that yet.
GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND LAYLEE!!!!!!!

I like the new look, but miss the “next post” link. Didn’t you know that I convinced Jessica to add one at the bottom of her posts (just like Heather/OMSH) so that life is more convenient for me? Don’t you want to do that too now? 😀
But, really, I was able to read it on my Sidekick so that says a lot!

Hi Ms. Daring,
I just found your blog via Friday Playdate. Thought I’d say hello. I’m in Seattle too and have a son starting the big K this fall. Yikes!
