I saw a well-dressed business man in the SUV next to me rocking out to “Let’s Hear it for the Boy” from the Footloose soundtrack. I like this.
Laylee has stopped using the word “yes” and in its place she responds “ROCK ON!” to signal the affirmative.
Me: Are you guys ready for lunch?
Laylee: ROCK ON!
Me: How about milk to drink?
Laylee: ROCK ON!
Me: Can you get a bib for Magoo?
Laylee: ROCK ON!
I’m not quite sure where she picked up this little gem but I am quite sure that I like this.
Dan and I got into a “discussion” Sunday night that was mostly pretty much completely my fault. He brought me roses last night to make up. I like this.
The kids I’m watching just asked me where my bouncy bed is, the bed for jumping. I don’t have one, but I liked the question. They also told me they don’t like my daughter’s name so they changed it. I like her name and I love the honesty of children.
No prayer is complete unless we thank God for Magoo’s shoes. WE. MUST. GEENK. HIM. FER. THE. SHOOCE! The shoes must be acknowledged forcefully and with gusto. This I like.
Last night my eyes were glued to the cell-phone footage of the swat teams, the endless interviews with anyone who knew anyone who ever thought of attending Virginia Tech and I was numb imagining the parents who still had not heard from their children. Dan took the remote control and said, “We don’t need to sit and gape at this. Nothing has changed. Let’s go to bed.” I liked this.
What are you liking today?
Military Mommy says
My daughter told me today as I was putting a handful of doritos in my mouth that she couldn’t wait until she is a mommy so she can have a huge mouth. This I like.

I like your blog! I like that in less than an hour I will be heading back home to see Baby1. I like that I have a plan and that if nature allows it, I will be able to stay at home with Baby1 and Baby2 and never-ever-ever go back to this unhappy place I am stuck in now. I like that I am writing this even if I am shy? not sure if I should? not sure if someone will read it? not sure if someone cares? Any hoo… Also, I like poutine. Had it for lunch – I know it’s reallyyyyyyyyyyy bad – but I still like it!

I’m liking reading about all the things you’re liking. It convinced me to turn off the laptop and go live my life this afternoon. And hey, you’ve gotta like that.

Telling the looming, dark clouds in the sky that they COULD NOT RAIN until after our Land Run re-enactment was finished today. And the rain obediently waited until just after all the kids were dismissed to their busses. This I liked.

I’m liking the yellow tulips in the background of your pictures. Our tulips are gone in Oklahoma and we’re moving on to the irises. Always makes me sad when the tulips go…

I like that you and Dan call them “discussions”. That’s what we call them at our house, too.

I like M&Ms. So does Lucky-the-fetus. We’re both happy now. And I like my husband and that he’s coming to rescue me from work in 26 minutes. So we can make a very exciting trip to the Ballard Goodwill. And they say married people dont have any fun.

Wha?! No bed for jumping? Mom & Dad’s bed is the bouncing bed in our house, I do not complain if the kids jump on it- as long as they don’t jump on us!

There were leftovers from our lunch meetings. I did not have to cook dinner. I like this.
This morning, my son snuggled with me, even though I yelled at him mightily the night before and he forgot all about it. I like this.
When Boomama asked us to help Heather with travel expenses for her trip to Mayo Clinic, bloggers had given $1300 by 7 AM. I really like this.
When I prayed for peace about selling our house, I find that I haven’t thought about the house until someone asks about it. I like this too.
When Mr. Right turned out the light last night, he leaned over and gave me a really good kiss. I like this a lot.
When he awoke this morning, he turned off the alarm, climbed back into bed and laid his head on my chest and wrapped his arms around me. I loved this.
My daughter told me she loved me this morning. I liked it so much, I asked her to do it again.
And do I like that you’ve asked me to think about what I’m liking? ROCK ON!

I like that my 3 wild boys are best friends.
I like that I don’t have nightmares or any other fears in the dark when my hubby is there.
I like that blogging is such a stress relief for me.

I like going home and letting my parents chase my men while I go dancing with my friends at my best friend’s wedding…even if I’m 7 months pregnant and may be dancing like a beached whale (that’s what I did this weekend).
I like the look on people’s faces when they ask, “Is this your first?” and I answer, “No. This is my fourth.” Priceless.
I like going to the OBGYN’s all. by. my. self. It’s like a minivacation.
I like strawberry shortcake…and strawberries at $1.52 a carton.
I like that #1 Son is very cuddly the day after his ear tubes were put in.
I like out patient nurses that know B.B. needs popsicles, rides in the wagon, and a trip to the treasure chest even if he didn’t get tubes in his ears. I mean if his siblings get the good stuff & he doesn’t, why bother being healthy?!

The other day I received comments on an abstract for a paper I’ve been working on in my doctoral program. The final comment suggested that I start sending it out for conferences and journals. I like this a lot.
After praying a few days ago that the Lord would bless me with peace and strength, I find that today I can breathe. I like this most of all.

Last night the girl that works the checkout at the local grocery told my wife that I’m a really good husband because I’m very understanding, supportive. I really, really liked that…:)
