It’s 2008 and I’m so relieved. I’ve been thinking it was 2008 since about June. For some reason the even numbered years just don’t sit well with me. For the first half of 2007 I thought it was 2006. Then one day around the longest day of the year, it suddenly felt like 2008 and I’ve been crossing out and rewriting the date ever since. I should be content writing 2-0-0-8 for a good 18 months.
I’m with you on the even years.
Even though some of the best things in my life have happened in odd numbered years (our wedding, both kids’ birthdays) I just prefer an even numbered year.
Happy New Year to you and your family!
I was just telling hubby last night that I prefer the even numbered years. I have no idea why. I’m glad I’m not the only one that has a preference.
My pits are waiting the results of your deodorant tryout – please fill us in!
I write the date so little that I always have to think for a second to try and remember what year it is.
I’ve been in 2008 ever since I found out I was pregnant, so I know what you mean!
I thought I was the only one who’s been doing that! I much prefer even-numbered years. And, for that matter, even-numbered days.
Happy 2009! Ok, did that mess you up? Sorry. 🙂
I have the same problem. It doesn’t matter if it’s even or not, any new year screws me up until at least November. 😐 I still think my son was born in 2005 sometimes, as opposed to August of 2006… poor kid.
Heh. I do that all the time, but I’m more that way about the months. I thought it was September for a loooooong time.
I was at the doctor this week, filling out all the entertaining new-patient documents. I was required to fill in the date 4 separate times and managed to write a different date on each one. Month, day year, were all wrong at least once. 2008, 2002, December, January, 2007…all screwy. Lots of scribbles on my new documents so I’m sure the office staff is convinced I’m neurotic.
I do that with my odd birthday years. I spend the whole year thinking I’m a year older. I’m on an odd year and I have to say I’ll be relieved when my finally arrives so I don’t feel like I’m aging myself.
