I’m really considering putting Roz in preschool. It’s my last year with a little kid at home EVER and I’m trying to enjoy it. (“Trying” being the operative word there.) But I would really like to be able to think an uninterrupted thought once or twice a day, and I know she gets bored… hmmmm…
Here’s a clip from my recent blog post that totally echoes your lovely poem:
My apologies to all you moms who weep when your children start kindergarten or go back to school, but I am loving it! . . .So Iβm just celebrating this new school transition because itβs so nice to reach [a transition] that actually feels manageable.” diapersanddivinity.com
I’m just waiting for the day that The Biscuit can stay at preschool for 2 whole hours without me being there. Then I can run an errand! Or take his sister on a walk! I’m barely able to imagine the freedom of only having one for 4 hours a week, I cannot wrap my brain around both of them at school. I think this is science fiction and you are cruelly teasing me. π
