The best dancing song ever, eh? Well that’s highly debatable. I’d just like to see the moves that go along with that screamin’ number. But she is highly acurate about Boom, Boom, Boom and then the singers go crazy. Wow. What a mind that child has!
That is fabulous! I HEART YOU LAYLEE!!!!! That happens to one of my all-time favorite pieces in the known universe…and I will now start dancing to it whenever possible!
Seriously, that girl has taste…and that is hilarious…

I am loving your wicked playlist. You should publish what you listen to!
Oh and btw, you made me feel SO old when you announced that your 30th bday was approaching a few months ago… I mean, you have 2 kids and are YOUNGER than me and all I have are 2 dogs and 3 cats!
I stumbled upon your blog and I love love love it. You are so funny. I am definitely going to ‘follow’ it through blogger.
Oh, and I also live in the greater Seattle area. Although, from some earlier posts about the snow, I think that we may be on opposite sides of the big city.
Do you remember how suddenly they turned from ultra-cool to the biggest losers in the world? It was a meteoric fall. Maybe you don’t remember that. What with the AGE and all…
Pretty sure my kids have never heard that. But it makes perfect sense, if you’re a passionate, semi-deified 5 year old who needs the right music to make the right moves.
you are even a super fabulous movie maker. That was spectac!

That was totally worth waiting 4 minutes and 48 seconds for! When I was 4, I asked my mom to play the song called “Pour some Raisin Bran on me” (on the RECORD PLAYER, I am that old) so I could dance around the living room. It took her quite some time to figure out that was “Lay some happiness on me” by Dean Martin.

Okay, so I was going through this trying to figure out the names of these songs (so I can add them to my playlist, of course.) but some of them I’ve just no idea, and I can’t read your Zune clearly!
Help me out! lol
Yea, never would’ve guessed that one. We’re more shallow at our house. My 3 year old’s favorite song is “Pop Goes My heart”, a wanna be 80’s song sung by Hugh Grant that is so cheesy that I can’t help but love it!
Which one was the Yeah yeah Yeah song? Oh sorry…..let’s play all over 🙂

I totally just showed this to my graduate level integrating technology in the classroom class. You are now even more famous. Thanks for being so cool so I can share you!!!! 🙂
Oh bestill my music major heart. That is HILARIOUS.
That made me laugh – and it reminded me of several songs I should download to my iPod!
ThankYou K!
If it wasn’t wrong to covet your writing + production skills, I *so* would!
🙂
Yay, Laylee! 😀
Hilarious! Thanks for the laugh. My kids like Confutatis off the Amadeus soundtrack, maybe yours will too. 🙂
We will definitely have to give it a try.
Love it! My girls actually dance to Dancing Queen almost daily!

You’ve got to be kidding!lol
I heart Laylee.
Um…ok….I just laughed my head off! Go Laylee!!
I want to learn her dance moves to that song?

Such a cultured 5-year-old!
My eight month old daughter started bouncing to it when it came on, so it MUST be true!
I think if your child thinks Verdi makes great dance music you have done something great as a mom!!!!!
Or something very twisted. It IS funeral music after all.
HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Awesome.
ROFL! I love it. Your kids crack me up.
Oh and btw, you made me feel SO old when you announced that your 30th bday was approaching a few months ago… I mean, you have 2 kids and are YOUNGER than me and all I have are 2 dogs and 3 cats!
Thanks for the laughs :D.
That was awesome. How funny!
I love that your kids know Verdi!!!!
Hilarious!
Love it. Love it!!!
Because that’s what they say. They expect you to know exactly what song they are talking about and then yell at you when you get it wrong.
Great video.
The singers DO go crazy – that’s just awesome
I watched the video and then played it for my husband. We both cracked up. 🙂 Verdi is some good stuff!!

Anyway, blog on!
Too funny!
Seriously though, you were in fifth grade when NKOTB was popular?? I was in high school.
Must go off and cry in a corner now about being old …

That is too funny! I only wish I could have seen some of the accompanying dance moves.
Hilarious! I’m not sure how Verdi would feel about Requiem being the “best dance song ever,” but …
What a brilliant little lady you have there.
Brilliant or very very strange.
That was so darn funny! And AWESOME!

Holy crepe, woman! That was crazy hilarious.
Now, where is the video of the kids dancing to it?
xo
j.
Too funny! That was a really fun video to watch, by the way.
I would really like to see her actually dance to that song! Love your playlists by the way, there are songs I surely need to get on my iPod!
