After six years working with the teenage girls at church, I’ve moved on to a new job. It’s… a “little” different. The class of three-year-olds in the Mormon church are called Sunbeams and I’ve written about the experience of teaching them over at the Time Out For Women blog.

Love it. Every bit was true and the humor was perfection. That is one of the best parts of primary, or perhaps the most vital part: you have to laugh your way through.
I loved this. They’re so cute! I teach the CTR 4 class in our ward, which is just one step above Sunbeams. They’re a little better at sitting in their chairs for a little bit longer, but last year I taught the CTR 5s, and let me tell you, there’s a big difference between six-year-olds and four-year-olds. BIG. But they’re adorable and fun, and Primary is the place in church that makes me the happiest, and where I feel the Spirit the most strongly. In fact, I’m fairly certain the Spirit leaves Sacrament meeting and follows all the kids straight to Primary. RS and Priesthood are totally on their own.
I just found your blog from the drops of awesome post and you have me falling off my seat laughing! I love it. I’m on the opposite end from you though, I just finished 5 years of nursery and have been promoted to teaching teenage Sunday school. The teenagers don’t find me nearly as entertaining as the 3 year olds did.
