Ty’s Toy Giveaway — AKA — This is About a Giant Miffy

December 3, 2007 by Kathryn

That's one big honkin' MiffyWhen I got a message in my inbox with the subject line — Re: This is About a Giant Miffy — my first thought was that it was a creatively euphemized inappropriate spam email. Then I noticed it came from my beloved Mir so I decided to keep reading about this here Giant Miffy. Here’s the deal:

Ty’s Toybox is giving away some Giant Miffy dolls. They are over 2 feet tall and appear to be even bigger around than “your mother” which is pretty big because I’ve heard she’s got a few pounds to lose. (Was that a good “your mother” joke? I’m trying to be “down” with all the “slang”, my little marshmallow “peeps”.)

If you’d like to win this fabulous prize of amazing proportions (and you know that even if you don’t, your little person REALLY REALLY does) head over to Ty’s and browse until you find whatever your child would choose second after they got their favorite possible toy, a huge giant stuffed Miffy.

Then, if you live in the continental US, come back and leave a comment about the second place treasure and you’ll be entered to win. The contest closes at 11:59pm PST on Wednesday, December 5th. I’ll do a random drawing and you’ll get your giant box-that-dreams-are-made-of in the mail.

Everybody gets automatic free shipping at Ty’s on domestic orders over $65 and you can use the coupon code HOLIDAY5 to get $5 off a $50 order.

In the past I haven’t done many of the giveaways that have been sent my way but how could I resist the chance to write a post with “GIANT MIFFY” in the title? Seriously. Oh, and I get one too, to give to “your mother.” (Got you again. Wow, I am really on a roll with that one.)

My daughter is four, so there’s no doubt she would love the Disney princess wand and tiara.

I think that our best bet for a second place treasure is the Caillou rainboots. Of all the “educational” programming I’ve let my Biscuit see, Caillou came on by accident and he really seemed to like it. (“By accident” means I passed out while nursing his sister with PBS on.) Since we are moving up to the rainy Pacific Northwest in a month (ack!) I think that my shoe-loving son would love, and use, these boots.

I don’t know if it’s what my kids would pick… but I would certainly pick those adorable curious george athletic shoes!!!! (Is there a shoe trend starting??)

This would definately be the 2nd place runner up pick. Curious George is the only cartoon my son will watch the entire way through, ** Bonus ** stickers. Stickers work as rewards for my 2 yo son. Yes, he has a chore chart, and I love that the stickers are the reward. I loathe the day when this all falls apart and we have to think about something else… egad. They do grow up fast. Now, add to it that these stickers are removable, and are supposed to be on the wall, and boy do you have a couple hours of fun. (No joke, a sheet of stickers will last my son about 30-40 minutes depending on the number of people in the room that he can stick them too.)

Since I’m boycotting the huge amounts of presents and only getting my kids a Wii this year (and that took all my money, too, by the way) I would get them the High School Musical Sing along for the Wii. Because we want to play AND sing all year long.

But the Giant Miffy would be a fun surprise for the little munchkins, too!

My daughter is all about princesses so I would probably put the cinderella dress outfit as my second pick. But its a definate second to the amazing Giant Miffy.

Okay, this is easy. My (19 month old) son would love the “High School Musical Deluxe Troy Warm-Up Jersey”. Because he loves HSM. (Maybe he loves it because I’ve forced him to watch it to much. But still, he loves it.)

And also, he would make the best “Troy” ever.

We need more toys like we need a hole in the head but Miffy is awfully cute. Our second place favorite would have to be the Hannah Montana light-up bracelets, for my daughter who is Hannah Montana’s biggest fannah.

Oh, the wooden Curious George car would win at our house.

My 5 yr old son is all into Thomas the train so I would have to pick the Thomas and Friends Take along timber land playset as the 2nd place prize.
