Today I had the chance to speak with Dr. Paul Jenkins on his Live on Purpose Radio podcast. We chatted about Drops of Awesome and a little of the background behind it. He’s so delightful to speak to and I love the uplifting nature of his show.
It was my first podcast so I kept thinking I should be nervous, but I wasn’t. I wasn’t nervous before. I wasn’t nervous during. He’s just really easy to talk to. AFTER the podcast I got nervous. I had this sort of, “Oh Em Heck. What did I say?” sort of moment.
With writing, you can always go back and edit.
Speaking on someone else’s radio show? Not so much. I think I said bra about five too many times, but other than that it’s probably okay.

The enthusiasm and honesty in your voice as you talked about Drops of Awesome makes this concept resonate even more. You did fine. The bra thing? Please, no worries.

My sister posted your Drops of Awesome on her blog, so I had to come see for myself. I read a few posts on your blog and decided that I really enjoy your writing. I am a nursing mom and have spent the last month or so reading your blog and posts at Parenting from start to finish. Now that I am up to date, it’s sort of bitter sweet. It’s like finishing a good book and wishing it wouldn’t come to an end. Now I have to wait for you to post something new instead of reading 25 -30 every day.
You have a fabulous sense of humor and great timing in your writing. I hope your book, Dark Bird, makes it. I have been rooting for you and slightly jealous that you have an original idea. In my mind, I’m a writer, but everything I try to write is owned by someone else. I am excited that you are going to publish Drops of Awesome. I will be securing myself a copy for sure. I listened to the podcast (thanks for the link!) and it was great.
Keep it up. I am a follower, and I put your link on my sidebar. I look forward to reading more.

Oh! I forgot to ask…do you still do the pickled pigs’ feet? I laughed so hard, and I’d love to see how long it takes my hubby to spot them. I worry that it’ll be disappointingly fast, but it would be fun to try.
