I’m continuing to share the story of my post partum trauma over at The Parenting Post. One more week of this and I’ll get back to the usual silliness of my life.
Looking forward to the silliness, but very touched by your willingness to share something like this. Very powerful writing.
I found out long after my maternal grandmother passed that she had suffered from depression. And she did suffer. It was passed off as stress from the war (during WWII) or because some family had shown up at the door and invited themselves to move in or whatever. Every time I hear the story it’s never PPD even though it started right after her 3rd child was born. I sure as heck paid attention to the handouts they gave me at the hospital because having a clinically depressed relative is a risk factor for me. Just a long-winded way of saying thanks for sharing with us, but make sure you share it with Laylee someday.
Hugs.

Loved the post… gave me such peace knowing you got through it. I’ve been dealing with stress, anxiety and depression for a very, very long time. I can’t wait to read how you finally kicked it.
Hugs to you,
Heather
