Praise May 16, 2008 by Kathryn I’m too dependent on praise. I want someone to pat me on the head and say “Good girl!” I want to feel that people like me and that they think I’m doing a good job. Kathryn, I think you are doing a GREAT job.

Good post over there. We’re probably all like this more than we’d like to admit. It keeps us in check from becoming the worrier that you describe in your post a few days ago. Balance of extremes is ideal if we can get there.
Long time no talk! I just wanted to let you know that I saw a poster in Third Place Books announcing an author event you might be interested in. Leif Enger has a new book out (“So Brave, Young and Handsome”), and will be doing a reading at the bookstore. I can’t remember if it was in late June or early July, and they don’t have it on their online calendar yet, but I wanted to tell you about it before I forgot, since I remember how much you loved “Peace Like a River”. Anyway, if you’re interested I’m sure they’ll have more info about it soon. Hope all is well with you!
It’s amazing how quickly these things put it all in perspective. But, you are doing GREAT!
