Laylee: Can I use the phone to call Ducky pretend?
Me: Okay sure.
Laylee: How’re you Ducky?
Are you good?
Are you in time out?
Because you were mean and you were kranky?
I hope you have a great day!
Because I’m playing with mommy.
Have a great day.
Talk to you later Ducky.
She hands me the phone. Can you guess if anyone else had to go in time out today? Do you think anyone else was mean or kranky? No, it was not me! You take that back.
NANOWRIMO Word Count: 6733 (at least 500 of which don’t bite the big one. Yippee!)
wouldn’t I love to hear what ducky had to say?
Here’t the whole conversation:
L: How’re you Ducky?
D: I’m pissed!
L: Are you good?
D: I guess so, but also pissed.
L: Are you in time out?
D: YES! Hence the anger!
L: Because you were mean and you were kranky?
D: Me? Kranky? What are you talking about?
L: I hope you have a great day!
D: Why are you being so nice to me?
L: Because I’m playing with mommy.
D: Ah, you can’t say what you’re really thinking, huh?
D: Because you’re the one who put me in timeout, you big mean head!
L: The end.
D: Hey, I’m not done talking! I have a bone to pick with you, kid!
L: Have a great day.
D: Stop with the flase niceness, already! Get me out of time out!
L: Talk to you later Ducky.
D: You can’t just LEAVE me here! Laylee! …Laylee? …Hello? Man I am so pissed.
I hope he has a better attitude today, he really was awfully kranky.
Daring Young Dad says
Yeah, I think his attitude is much better today–putting him through the spin cycle usually does the trick.
I wish we could use that tactic to keep other people’s attitudes in check.
Squishy Burrito says
hahahahaha (still laughing)

LOL!!! Love the whole conversation, Karli.
