I’m really considering putting Roz in preschool. It’s my last year with a little kid at home EVER and I’m trying to enjoy it. (“Trying” being the operative word there.) But I would really like to be able to think an uninterrupted thought once or twice a day, and I know she gets bored… hmmmm…
Here’s a clip from my recent blog post that totally echoes your lovely poem:
My apologies to all you moms who weep when your children start kindergarten or go back to school, but I am loving it! . . .So I’m just celebrating this new school transition because it’s so nice to reach [a transition] that actually feels manageable.” diapersanddivinity.com
I’m just waiting for the day that The Biscuit can stay at preschool for 2 whole hours without me being there. Then I can run an errand! Or take his sister on a walk! I’m barely able to imagine the freedom of only having one for 4 hours a week, I cannot wrap my brain around both of them at school. I think this is science fiction and you are cruelly teasing me. 😉
I am partial to sanity myself. Usually.
Oh, I wish mine would all go to school. Kindergarten should really be for three year olds, you know?
So silence brings inspiration and poetic tendencies? That gives me hope that my creative juices may one day return!
AMEN!

Who is this “sanity” person? can I meet her?

Enjoy the sanity!
And this is why I live for Tuesdays and Thursdays when I have 2.5 hours to myself…
Amen and amen!
The son is in school all day and the husband is away for 2 weeks! I’m delirious!
Sanity? What is this sanity that you speak of? Where can I get some?
😀 That’s great!
